GhostBSD-s kasutatakse vaikimisi ZFS failis\u00fcsteemi. Toetatakse nii Live-re\u017eiimi t\u00f6\u00f6d kui ka installimist k\u00f5vakettale (kasutatakse Pythonis kirjutatud kohandatud paigaldajat ginstall). K\u00e4ivitusku images on moodustatud x86_64 arhitektuuri jaoks (3,7 GB MATE-ga, 3,4 GB Xfce-ga, 3,3 GB Gershwiniga).    <\/p>\n<p>V\u00e4ljaanne on t\u00e4helepanuv\u00e4\u00e4rne, kuna algab oma t\u00f6\u00f6laudade keskkonna Gershwin testimine, mis on stiliseeritud macOS liidese j\u00e4rgi. MacOS-i kasutajatehnikatega sidumise mehhanismide taastamiseks on kasutatud GNUstep raamistikku ja aknahaldurit xfce4-wm, kuid tulevikus kavatsetakse v\u00e4lja t\u00f6\u00f6tada oma aknahaldur. Eksperimentaalne tugi Waylandile on saadaval.     <\/p>\n<p>Gershwin keskkonna hulka on integreeritud GhostBSD t\u00f6\u00f6riistad, n\u00e4iteks paigaldaja, rakenduste haldur (Software Station) ning graafilised liidesed varundamiseks (Backup Station) ja s\u00fcsteemi v\u00e4rskendamiseks (Update Station). On v\u00f5imalik k\u00e4ivitada nii tavalisi programme kui ka GNUstep p\u00f5hiseid rakendusi. Erinevalt teistest GNUstep p\u00f5histest distributsioonidest ei kasutata Gershwinis NEXTSTEP stiili ning on tehtud muudatusi, et pakkuda graafilist keskkonda, mis ei ole seotud Window Maker
