QEMU emulaatorina v\u00f5imaldab k\u00e4itada rakendusi, mis on loodud \u00fchele riistvaraarhitektuurile, t\u00e4iesti erineva arhitektuuriga s\u00fcsteemis, n\u00e4iteks k\u00e4ivitada ARM-rakendus x86-\u00fchilduvas arvutis. Virtuaalre\u017eiimis on QEMU koodi t\u00e4itmise j\u00f5udlus isoleeritud keskkonnas l\u00e4hedane kohaliku s\u00fcsteemi j\u00f5udlusele CPU otse k\u00e4su t\u00e4itmise ja Xen h\u00fcperviisori v\u00f5i KVM mooduli kasutamise t\u00f5ttu. <\/p>\n<p>Projekt loodi algselt Fabrice Bellardi poolt eesm\u00e4rgiga v\u00f5imaldada x86 platvormile kompileeritud Linuxi k\u00e4ivitatavate failide k\u00e4ivitamist erinevates arhitektuurides. Arenduse k\u00e4igus on lisatud t\u00e4ieliku emulatsiooni tugi 14 riistvara arhitektuurile ning emuleeritud seadmete arv \u00fcletas 400. Versiooni 4.0 ettevalmistamisel tehti rohkem kui 3100 muudatust 220 arendaja poolt. <\/p>\n<p>Peamised <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/wiki.qemu.org\/ChangeLog\/4.0\">parandused<\/a><\/noindex>, mis lisati QEMU 4.0: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> ARM arhitektuuri emulaatorisse on lisatud tugi ARMv8+ k\u00e4skude laiendustele: SB, PredInv, HPD, LOR, FHM, AA32HPD,<br \/>\n   PAuth, JSConv, CondM, FRINT ja BTI. Toetatud on \"Musca\" ja \"MPS2\" emulatsioon. Parandatud on ARM PMU (Power Management Unit) emulatsiooni. Platvormile <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/wiki.qemu.org\/Documentation\/Platforms\/ARM#Generic_ARM_system_emulation_with_the_virt_machine\">virt<\/a><\/noindex> on lisatud v\u00f5imalus kasutada \u00fcle 255 GB RAM-i ja toetust \"noload\" t\u00fc\u00fcpi u-boot piltide jaoks;<\/p>\n<li class=\"l\"> x86 arhitektuuri emulaatoris on virtualiseerimise kiirenduse mootoris <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/intel\/haxm\">HAX<\/a><\/noindex> (Intel Hardware Accelerated Execution) on lisatud toetust POSIX-\u00fchildlikele hostidele, nagu Linux ja NetBSD (varem toetati ainult Darwin platvormi). Q35 (ICH9) kiibistiku emulaatoris on n\u00fc\u00fcd valikuline m\u00e4rgistus p\u00f5hi-PCIe portide maksimaalse kiirusena (16GT\/s) ja \u00fchendusread (x32), vastavalt PCIe 4.0 spetsifikatsioonile (tagamiseks tuleb vanade t\u00fc\u00fcpi masinate jaoks QEMU-s vaikimisi 2.5GT\/s ja x1). On antud v\u00f5imalus laadida Xen PVH pilte koos valikuga \"-kernel\";\n<li class=\"l\"> MIPS arhitektuuri emulaatoris on lisatud multiteemalise emulatsiooni tugi klassikalise koodigeneraatori TCG (Tiny Code Generator) abil. Samuti on lisatud tugi CPU I7200 (nanoMIPS32 ISA) ja I6500 (MIPS64R6 ISA) emuleerimiseks, CPU p\u00e4ringute t\u00f6\u00f6tlemiseks QMP (QEMU haldusprotokolli) kaudu, Lisatud on SAARI ja SAAR konfiguratsiooniregistrite tugi. Parandatud on virtuaalsete masinate toimimist Fulong 2E t\u00fc\u00fcbi puhul. Uuendatud on interthread suhtluse \u00fcksuse teostust;\n<li class=\"l\"> PowerPC arhitektuuri emulaatoris on lisatud tugi katkestuste kontrolleri XIVE emuleerimiseks, laiendatud on POWER9 toetust, P seeria jaoks on lisatud v\u00f5imalus kuumalt \u00fchendada PCI peamised sillad (PHB, PCI host bridge). Vaikimisi on sisse l\u00fclitatud kaitse Spectre ja Meltdown r\u00fcnnakute eest;\n<li class=\"l\">  RISC-V arhitektuuri emulaatoris on lisatud PCI ja USB emuleerimise tugi. Sisseehitatud silumise server (gdbserver) toetab registeride nimekirjade m\u00e4\u00e4ramist XML failides. Lisatud on tugi mstatus-v\u00e4ljadele TSR, TW ja TVM;\n<li class=\"l\"> S390 arhitektuuri emulaatorisse lisati CPU mudeli z14 GA 2 tugi ning ka juhiste laiendite emulatsiooni tugi ujuvpunktiliste arvutuste ja vektorkoormuste jaoks. Vfio-ap t\u00e4iustas seadmete kuumplugimise v\u00f5imalust;\n<li class=\"l\"> Tensilica Xtensa protsessorite emulaatoris parandati SMP toe toetust Linuxile ning lisati FLIX (paindlike pikkuste juhiste laiendite) tugi;\n<li class=\"l\"> Graafilisse kasutajaliidesesse on lisatud valik \"-display spice-app\" Spice kaugjuurdep\u00e4\u00e4su kliendi variandi seadistamiseks ja k\u00e4ivitamiseks, mille kujundus sarnaneb QEMU GTK-liidesele;\n<li class=\"l\"> VNC-serveri rakendusse lisati juurdep\u00e4\u00e4su juhtimise tugi tls-authz\/sasl-authz valikute kaudu;\n<li class=\"l\"> QMP-s (QEMU haldusprotokoll) lisati tsentraliseeritud\/v\u00e4line (Out-of-band) k\u00e4skude t\u00e4itmise tugi ning rakendati t\u00e4iendavad k\u00e4sud plokisseadmete toetamiseks;\n<li class=\"l\"> VFIO-sse lisati EDID liidese rakendus toetatud mdev (Intel vGPU) jaoks, mis v\u00f5imaldab ekraani eraldusv\u00f5imet muuta, kasutades xres ja yres valikuid;\n<li class=\"l\"> Xeni jaoks on lisatud uus seade \"xen-disk\", mis suudab iseseisvalt luua Xen PV diskibehinduse (ilma xenstore'i p\u00f6\u00f6rdumiseta).
