Arenduse l\u00f5petamise p\u00f5hjuseks on j\u00e4\u00e4nud hoidjate v\u00e4hene vaba aeg jaotuse korralikuks hooldamiseks. Otsustati, et on parem l\u00f5petada t\u00f6\u00f6, kui jaotus on endiselt t\u00e4iesti t\u00f6\u00f6kindel ja ajakohane, kui pakkuda kasutajatele m\u00f5ningast aeglast stagnatsiooni. Selline samm v\u00f5imaldab huvilistel entusiastidel kasutada Antergose arengut uute projektide loomiseks. <\/p>\n<p>Varsti on kavas v\u00e4lja anda viimane v\u00e4rskendus, mis keelab Antergose spetsiifilised repod. Projekti all olev paketid kantakse edasi AUR-i. Seet\u00f5ttu ei pea olemasolevad kasutajad migreerima teise jaotusse ja nad saavad j\u00e4tkuvalt v\u00e4rskendusi Arch Linuxi ja AUR-i tavareposidelt.<\/p>\n<p>Ajalooliselt j\u00e4tkas projekt Cinnarchi arendamist p\u00e4rast selle \u00fcleviimist Cinnamonilt GNOME-ile, kuna jaotuse nimes oli s\u00f5na Cinnamon osa. Antergos rajati Arch Linuxi pakettide baasile ja pakkus klassikalist kasutajakogemust GNOME 2 stiilis, mis loodi alguses GNOME 3 laienduste abil, hiljem asendati see MATE-iga (hiljem taastati ka Cinnamon'i installimise v\u00f5imalus).
