Mooduli t\u00f6\u00f6 on kontrollitud Linuxi tuumadega alates 2.6.32 kuni 5.1. Valmis installipaketid tulevad varsti saadaval.  <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/zfsonlinux.org\/\">valmistatakse<\/a><\/noindex> peamistele Linuxi distributsioonidele, sealhulgas Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, RHEL\/CentOS. ZFS on Linuxi moodul on juba kaasatud Debian, Ubuntu, Gentoo, Sabayon Linux ja ALT Linuxi distributsioonidesse.<\/p>\n<p>ZFS Linuxi raames on ette valmistatud komponentide teostamine, mis on seotud nii failis\u00fcsteemi t\u00f6\u00f6 kui ka mahuhalduri toimimisega. Eelk\u00f5ige on teostatud j\u00e4rgmised komponendid: SPA (Storage Pool Allocator), DMU (Data Management Unit), ZVOL (ZFS emuleeritud maht) ja ZPL (ZFS POSIX kiht). Projekteerimine v\u00f5imaldab ZFS kasutamist Lustre klusterfailis\u00fcsteemi tagakihina. Projekti arendust\u00f6\u00f6d p\u00f5hinevad originaalkoodil ZFS, mis on imporditud OpenSolarise projektist ja laiendatud Illumose kogukonna t\u00e4iustuste ja parandustega. Projekt areneb Livermore'i rahvusliku laboratooriumi t\u00f6\u00f6tajate osalusel, kes teevad t\u00f6\u00f6d USA energiaosakonna lepingul.<\/p>\n<p>Kood levitatakse tasuta CDDL litsentsi alusel, mis pole \u00fchilduv GPLv2-ga, mist\u00f5ttu ei ole v\u00f5imalik integreerida ZFS Linuxi p\u00f5hiokregi kontorisse, kuna GPLv2 ja CDDL litsentside koodide segamine on keelatud. Selle litsentsi kokkusobimatuse v\u00e4ltimiseks otsustati toode t\u00e4ielikult CDDL litsentsi alusel levitada eraldiseisva laaditava moodulina, mis tarnitakse tuumast eraldi. ZFS Linuxi koodibaasi stabiilsust hinnatakse v\u00f5rreldavaks teiste Linuxi failis\u00fcsteemidega. <\/p>\n<p>Peamised muudatused:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Lisatud sisseehitatud tugi salvestatud andmete kr\u00fcptimiseks failis\u00fcsteemi ja osade tasandil. Kr\u00fcptimiseks kasutatakse vaikimisi algoritmi aes-256-ccm. Kr\u00fcptimise v\u00f5tmete laadimiseks on soovitatud k\u00e4sku &#171;zfs load-key&#187;;\n<li class=\"l\"> Rakendatud on v\u00f5imalus edastada kr\u00fcpteeritud andmeid k\u00e4skude &#171;zfs send&#187; ja &#171;zfs receive&#8217; t\u00e4itmisel. Kui m\u00e4rgite valiku &#171;-w&#187;, edastatakse juba kr\u00fcpteeritud andmed puulis teise puuli sellisena, ilma vahepealse dekr\u00fcptimiseta. Sellise kopeerimise korral j\u00e4\u00e4vad andmed saatva osapoole v\u00f5tme alla kaitstuks, mis v\u00f5imaldab seda re\u017eiimi kasutada usaldamatutes s\u00fcsteemides varundamiseks (kui vastuv\u00f5tjat on komprimeeritud, ei saa r\u00fcndaja andmetele juurde p\u00e4\u00e4seda ilma v\u00f5tmeta);\n<li class=\"l\"> Lisatud tugi primaarsete salvestusseadmestike eemaldamiseks salvestuspuust, mis on \u00fchendatud nii eraldi kui ka peegli osana. Eemaldamine toimub k\u00e4su &#171;zpool remove&#187; abil. Eemaldamise protsessi k\u00e4igus kopeeritakse andmed eemaldatavast salvestusseadmest allesj\u00e4\u00e4nud primaarsete salvestusseadmete peale;\n<li class=\"l\"> Lisatud k\u00e4sk &#171;zpool checkpoint&#187;, mis salvestab puu praeguse oleku v\u00f5imalusega tagastada edaspidiseid muudatusi salvestatud ajahetkele (loodud on kogu puu snapshots). Esitatud v\u00f5imalus v\u00f5ib osutuda kasulikuks potentsiaalselt ohtlike keeruliste haldust\u00f6\u00f6de teostamise ajal, mis tavaliselt toovad kaasa p\u00f6\u00f6rdumatud muutused (n\u00e4iteks ZFS uute funktsionaalsete lipukestega aktiveerimine v\u00f5i andmete puhastamine);\n<li class=\"l\"> Lisatud k\u00e4sk &#171;zpool trim&#187;, mis v\u00f5imaldab teavitada puus kasutatavaid salvestusseadmeid sektoritest, mis enam ei kasutata. TRIM operatsiooni rakendamine suurendab SSD-salvestusseadmete t\u00f6\u00f6 efektiivsust ja takistab nende j\u00f5udluse halvenemist. Kontinuierse taustprotsessi aktiveerimiseks TRIM-k\u00e4skude edastamiseks on soovitatud uus omadus &#171;autotrim&#187;;\n<li class=\"l\"> Lisatud k\u00e4sk &#171;zpool initialize&#187; kogu jaotamata kettaruumi initsialiseerimiseks, mis tagab selle kohese valmisoleku kasutamiseks, ilma et oleks enneaegset j\u00f5udluse langust esimesel juurdep\u00e4\u00e4sul (n\u00e4iteks virtuaalsetes salvestustes, n\u00e4iteks VMware VMDK);\n<li class=\"l\"> Lisatud tugi konto- ja kvootide haldamiseks projekti tasemel, mis t\u00e4iendavad varasemalt saadaval olnud kvoote kasutaja ja r\u00fchma tasemel. Projekid on p\u00f5him\u00f5tteliselt eraldi objektide ruum, mis on seotud eraldi identifikaatoriga (projekti ID). Sidumine m\u00e4\u00e4ratakse operatsiooni 'chattr -p' v\u00f5i atribuutide p\u00e4rimise kaudu.
