Spetsifikatsioonid sisaldavad n\u00f5udeid taolistest dokumentidest l\u00e4bitavate andmete lugemiseks, kirjutamiseks ja t\u00f6\u00f6tlemiseks rakendustes. ODF standard on kohaldatav dokumentide loomisel, redigeerimisel, vaatamisel, vahetamisel ja arhiveerimisel, mis v\u00f5ivad representatsioonina olla tekstidokumendid, esitlusmaterjalid,
