Halvimal juhul v\u00f5ib ZFS-i kasutamine probleemsete kettade peal viia andmete kaotamiseni. <\/p>\n<p>Probleemid ilmnevad WD Red k\u00f5vaketaste puhul, mille maht on 2 kuni 6 TB ja mis on toodetud alates 2018. aastast ning kasutavad salvestamiseks tehnoloogiat <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.westerndigital.com\/wd-red-nas-drives\/\">DM-SMR<\/a><\/noindex> (Device-Managed Shingled Magnetic Recording) ja <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.westerndigital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/2020_04_22_WD_SMR_SKUs_1Slide.pdf\">millel on<\/a><\/noindex> m\u00e4rgis EFAX (CMR-kettade puhul kasutatakse identifikaatorit EFRX). Western Digital <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.westerndigital.com\/wd-red-nas-drives\/\">t\u00f5i esile<\/a><\/noindex> oma blogis, et SMR-kettad WD Red on m\u00f5eldud kodu- ja v\u00e4ikeste ettev\u00f5tete NAS-de kasutamiseks, kus on paigaldatud mitte rohkem kui 8 ketast ning koormus on umbes 180 TB aastas, mis on iseloomulik varundamise ja failide vahetamise jaoks. Eelmised WD Red k\u00f5vaketta mudelid ja WD Red 8 TB ja suuremad mudeleid, samuti WD Red Pro, WD Gold ja WD Ultrastar seeriad, j\u00e4tkuvad CMR-tehnoloogial (Conventional Magnetic Recording) ning nende kasutamine ei p\u00f5hjusta ZFS-iga probleeme.<\/p>\n<p>SMR-tehnoloogia olemus seisneb selles, et ketta magnetpea laius on suurem kui radu, mis toob kaasa naaberradade osalise kattumise salvestamise, st iga uuesti salvestamine n\u00f5uab kogu r\u00fchma radade \u00fcmberkirjutamist. Selliste ketaste t\u00f5hususe optimeerimiseks kasutatakse <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zonedstorage.io\/\">aladelistamist<\/a><\/noindex> \u2014 salvestusruum jaguneb tsoonideks, mis koosnevad plokkide v\u00f5i sektorite r\u00fchmadest, kuhu on lubatud ainult j\u00e4rjestikune andmete lisamine, uuendades kogu plokkide r\u00fchma korraga. \u00dcldiselt on SMR-diskid energiat\u00f5husamad, odavamad ja n\u00e4itavad paremat j\u00f5udlust j\u00e4rjestikulise andmete kirjutamise puhul, kuid j\u00e4\u00e4vad maha juhusliku kirjutamise toimingutes, sealhulgas andmete salvestamise massiivide \u00fcmberehitamisel. <\/p>\n<p>DM-SMR t\u00e4hendab, et andmete tsoonimise ja jaotamise toimingud hallatakse ketta kontrolleri poolt ning selline disk tundub s\u00fcsteemi jaoks nagu klassikaline k\u00f5vaketas, mis ei vaja eraldi manipuleerimist. Iga juhusliku kirjutamise operatsiooni j\u00e4rel on vajalik taustal \u00fclevaatus, mis toob kaasa ettearvamatud j\u00f5udluse k\u00f5ikumised. S\u00fcsteem v\u00f5ib proovida rakendada sellistele kettale optimeerimist, arvates, et andmed kirjutatakse antud sektorisse, kuid tegelikult m\u00e4\u00e4ravad kontrolleri poolt antud andmed ainult loogilise struktuuri ja andmete jaotamisel rakendab kontroller oma algoritme, arvestades eelnevalt paigutatud andmeid. Seet\u00f5ttu on enne DM-SMR ketaste kasutamist ZFS p\u00f5himikus soovitatav teostada nende nullimist ja l\u00e4htestamist algseisundisse.<\/p>\n<p>Probleemide tingimuste anal\u00fc\u00fcsimiseks on kaasatud ettev\u00f5te Western Digital, mis koos iXsystemsiga p\u00fc\u00fcab leida lahendust ja ette valmistada tarkvarauuendust. Enne probleemide k\u00f5rvaldamise j\u00e4relduste avaldamist plaanitakse uusi tarkvaraversioone testida k\u00f5rgkoormatud salvestites, nagu FreeNAS 11.3 ja TrueNAS CORE 12.0.
