Uues v\u00e4ljaandes on tehtud suur koodipuhastus \u2014 kogu C-keeles kirjutatud kood on \u00fcmber kirjutatud ja projekt sisaldab n\u00fc\u00fcd ainult Guile keeles kirjutatud l\u00e4htekodasid.<\/p>\n<p>Mcron on 100% \u00fchilduv Vixie croniga ja v\u00f5ib toimida selle l\u00e4bipaistva asendusena. Lisaks Vixie cron konfiguratsiooniformaadile pakub Mcron v\u00f5imalust m\u00e4\u00e4rata skripte, mis perioodiliselt k\u00e4ivitavad \u00fclesandeid Scheme keeles. Mcron'i rakenduses on kolm korda v\u00e4hem koodiridu kui Vixie cronis. Mcron'i saab k\u00e4ivitada ilma root'i \u00f5igusteta, et t\u00f6\u00f6tleda hetke kasutaja \u00fclesandeid (kasutaja saab k\u00e4ivitada oma mcron daemoni).<\/p>\n<p>Projekti peamine omadus on erinev l\u00e4henemine t\u00f6\u00f6de sooritamise planeerimise korraldamisel \u2014 Mcronis kasutatakse pideva aja j\u00e4lgimise asemel \u00fclesannete j\u00e4rjestamise lineaarset j\u00e4rjekorda koos viivituste m\u00e4\u00e4ramisega iga j\u00e4rjekorra elemendi v\u00e4ljakutsumise vahel. \u00dclesande aktiveerimise ajavahemike jooksul on mcron t\u00e4ielikult passiivne.
