La sortie d'Alpine Linux 3.14 a eu lieu, un distribution minimaliste construite sur la biblioth\u00e8que syst\u00e8me Musl et un ensemble d'outils BusyBox. La distribution se distingue par des exigences de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 accrues et est construite avec la protection SSP (Stack Smashing Protection). OpenRC est utilis\u00e9 comme syst\u00e8me d'initialisation, et un gestionnaire de paquets propri\u00e9taire, apk, est utilis\u00e9 pour la gestion des paquets. Alpine est utilis\u00e9 pour cr\u00e9er des images officielles de conteneurs Docker.
