Dans Ubuntu 21.10, l'abandon du th\u00e8me combinant des en-t\u00eates sombres, un fond clair et des \u00e9l\u00e9ments de contr\u00f4le clairs a \u00e9t\u00e9 approuv\u00e9. Les utilisateurs se verront proposer par d\u00e9faut une version enti\u00e8rement claire du th\u00e8me Yaru, avec la possibilit\u00e9 de basculer vers une version enti\u00e8rement sombre (en-t\u00eates sombres, fond sombre et \u00e9l\u00e9ments de contr\u00f4le sombres). <\/p>\n

Cette d\u00e9cision s'explique par l'absence dans GTK3 et GTK4 de la possibilit\u00e9 de d\u00e9finir diff\u00e9rentes couleurs de fond et de texte pour l'en-t\u00eate et la fen\u00eatre principale, ce qui emp\u00eache de garantir le bon fonctionnement de toutes les applications GTK lors de l'utilisation de th\u00e8mes combin\u00e9s (par exemple, dans gnome disk analyser, une bande blanche appara\u00eet dans un en-t\u00eate sombre). Une autre raison est le co\u00fbt de maintenance trop \u00e9lev\u00e9 des th\u00e8mes non standard. Le probl\u00e8me est que GNOME ne fournit pas d'interface de programmation officielle et de recommandations pour les th\u00e8mes GTK, ce qui entra\u00eene une incompatibilit\u00e9 avec les th\u00e8mes tiers \u00e0 chaque nouvelle version de GNOME. <\/p>\n
