Les d\u00e9veloppeurs de Red Hat ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 former des builds de CentOS Stream 9, une version de CentOS mise \u00e0 jour en continu, sur laquelle le d\u00e9veloppement de la branche Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 a d\u00e9but\u00e9. CentOS Stream permet d'acc\u00e9der plus t\u00f4t aux fonctionnalit\u00e9s de la future branche RHEL, mais comprend encore des packages qui ne sont pas enti\u00e8rement stabilis\u00e9s. Les builds de CentOS Stream 9 sont form\u00e9s pour les architectures x86_64, Aarch64, ppc64le et s390x, mais pour l'instant uniquement sous forme d'images pour des conteneurs isol\u00e9s. <\/p>\n

CentOS Stream a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 pour permettre aux membres de la communaut\u00e9 de participer au d\u00e9veloppement d'une nouvelle branche de RHEL. CentOS Stream peut \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme un projet en amont pour RHEL, servant de base \u00e0 son d\u00e9veloppement. Les participants externes peuvent contr\u00f4ler la pr\u00e9paration des paquets pour RHEL, proposer leurs modifications et influencer les d\u00e9cisions prises. Auparavant, comme base pour une nouvelle branche de RHEL, un instantan\u00e9 d'une des versions de Fedora \u00e9tait utilis\u00e9, qui \u00e9tait peaufin\u00e9 et stabilis\u00e9 \u00e0 huis clos, sans possibilit\u00e9 de suivre le d\u00e9veloppement et les d\u00e9cisions prises. Le nouveau processus de d\u00e9veloppement implique de rendre le stade de pr\u00e9paration de RHEL, pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment ferm\u00e9, accessible dans CentOS Stream \u2014 sur la base d'un instantan\u00e9 de Fedora, avec la participation de la communaut\u00e9, une nouvelle branche de CentOS Stream est form\u00e9e, apr\u00e8s quoi RHEL sera reconstruit sur la base de CentOS Stream.
