Les d\u00e9veloppeurs d'Ubuntu ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 adapter les paquets deb pour utiliser l'algorithme zstd, ce qui permettra de presque doubler la vitesse d'installation des paquets, au prix d'une l\u00e9g\u00e8re augmentation de leur taille (~6 %). Il est \u00e0 noter que le support de l'utilisation de zstd a \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9 dans apt et dpkg d\u00e8s 2018 avec la version 18.04 d'Ubuntu, mais n'a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9 pour comprimer les paquets. Dans Debian, le support de zstd est d\u00e9j\u00e0 inclus dans APT, debootstrap et reprepro, et est en cours de r\u00e9vision avant d'\u00eatre int\u00e9gr\u00e9 \u00e0 dpkg.
