Une mise \u00e0 jour de la distribution Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS a \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9e. Cette version comprend uniquement les mises \u00e0 jour cumul\u00e9es des paquets, li\u00e9es \u00e0 la correction des vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9s et des probl\u00e8mes qui affectent la stabilit\u00e9. Les versions du noyau et des programmes correspondent \u00e0 la version 18.04.5. <\/p>\n

L'objectif principal de cette nouvelle version est de mettre \u00e0 jour les images d'installation pour les architectures amd64 et arm64. Dans l'image d'installation, des probl\u00e8mes li\u00e9s au retrait des cl\u00e9s lors de la correction de la deuxi\u00e8me variante de la vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 BootHole dans le chargeur GRUB2 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9solus. Ainsi, la possibilit\u00e9 d'installer Ubuntu 18.04 sur des syst\u00e8mes avec UEFI Secure Boot est r\u00e9tablie. <\/p>\n

Il n'est raisonnable d'utiliser cette version que pour de nouvelles installations, mais pour de nouveaux syst\u00e8mes, la version Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS est plus pertinente. Les syst\u00e8mes install\u00e9s auparavant peuvent recevoir toutes les modifications pr\u00e9sentes dans Ubuntu 18.04.6 via le syst\u00e8me de mise \u00e0 jour int\u00e9gr\u00e9. La prise en charge des mises \u00e0 jour et des corrections de probl\u00e8mes de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 pour les \u00e9ditions serveur et bureau d'Ubuntu 18.04 LTS se poursuivra jusqu'en avril 2023, apr\u00e8s quoi des mises \u00e0 jour seront encore fournies pendant 5 ans dans le cadre d'un support payant s\u00e9par\u00e9 (ESM, Extended Security Maintenance).
