L'environnement de bureau de base est construit sur GNUstep, mais les utilisateurs ont la possibilit\u00e9 d'installer WindowMaker, GNOME, Xfce ou Lumina. Une image d'installation de 743 Mo (x86, amd64) est pr\u00eate \u00e0 \u00eatre t\u00e9l\u00e9charg\u00e9e.        <\/p>\n<p>Contrairement aux autres compilations de bureau de FreeBSD, le syst\u00e8me d'exploitation MidnightBSD a \u00e9t\u00e9 initialement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 comme un fork de FreeBSD 6.1-beta, synchronis\u00e9 en 2011 avec la base de code de FreeBSD 7 et qui a ensuite int\u00e9gr\u00e9 de nombreuses fonctionnalit\u00e9s des branches FreeBSD 9, 10 et 11. La gestion des paquets dans MidnightBSD utilise le syst\u00e8me mport, qui s'appuie sur une base de donn\u00e9es SQLite pour le stockage des index et des m\u00e9tadonn\u00e9es. L'installation, la suppression et la recherche de paquets se font via une seule commande mport.     <\/p>\n<p>Principales modifications :  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> La cha\u00eene de compilation utilise LLVM 10.0.1.\n<li class=\"l\"> Les versions suivantes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 mises \u00e0 jour : mport 2.1.4, APR-util 1.6.1, APR 1.7.0, Subversion 1.14.0, file 5.39, sendmail 8.16.1, sqlite3 3.35.5, tzdata 2021a, libarchive 3.5.0, unbound 1.13.0, xz 5.2.5, openmp.\n<li class=\"l\"> Des pilotes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9s pour NetFPGA SUME 4x10Gb Ethernet, JMicron JMB582\/JMB585 AHCI, BCM54618SE PHY et Bitron Video AV2010\/10 ZigBee USB Stick.\n<li class=\"l\"> Les pilotes suivants ont \u00e9t\u00e9 mis \u00e0 jour : e1000 (Ethernet gigabit Intel), mlx5, nxge, usb, vxge.\n<li class=\"l\"> Les pilotes ctau (Cronyx Tau) et cx (Cronyx Sigma) ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9clar\u00e9s obsol\u00e8tes.\n<li class=\"l\"> Des am\u00e9liorations ont \u00e9t\u00e9 apport\u00e9es au gestionnaire de paquets mport. Le processus de mise \u00e0 jour des d\u00e9pendances lors de l'installation ou de la mise \u00e0 jour des paquets a \u00e9t\u00e9 am\u00e9lior\u00e9. L'encodage est d\u00e9sormais correctement sp\u00e9cifi\u00e9 lors de l'extraction des fichiers d'archives contenant des caract\u00e8res non ASCII dans les noms de fichiers. Des hashs sha256 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9s pour v\u00e9rifier l'int\u00e9grit\u00e9 des \u00e9l\u00e9ments plist.\n<li class=\"l\"> La g\u00e9n\u00e9ration du fichier os-release a \u00e9t\u00e9
