Les d\u00e9veloppeurs de Wayland travaillent sur une extension du protocole permettant aux applications de continuer \u00e0 fonctionner en cas de plantage et de red\u00e9marrage du serveur de composition (Window Compositor). Cette extension r\u00e9soudra un probl\u00e8me persistant de fermeture des applications en cas de d\u00e9faillance de l'environnement de bureau. Les modifications n\u00e9cessaires pour maintenir le socket actif pendant le red\u00e9marrage ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9par\u00e9es pour le gestionnaire de fen\u00eatres KWin et sont incluses dans KDE Plasma 5.21. Pour Wayland, Mesa, SDL, Qt et GTK, les modifications sont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es dans des branches s\u00e9par\u00e9es.
