La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Oracle a publi\u00e9 la version de la distribution Oracle Linux 8.5, cr\u00e9\u00e9e sur la base de packages de Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.5. Un fichier ISO d'installation de 8,6 Go, pr\u00e9par\u00e9 pour les architectures x86_64 et ARM64 (aarch64), est disponible en t\u00e9l\u00e9chargement sans restrictions. Oracle Linux offre un acc\u00e8s illimit\u00e9 et gratuit au d\u00e9p\u00f4t yum avec des mises \u00e0 jour binaires de packages contenant des corrections d'erreurs (errata) et des probl\u00e8mes de s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Des modules Application Stream pris en charge sont \u00e9galement disponibles au t\u00e9l\u00e9chargement. <\/p>\n

En plus du package kernel fourni par RHEL (bas\u00e9 sur le noyau 4.18), Oracle Linux propose son propre noyau Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel 6, fond\u00e9 sur le noyau Linux 5.4 et optimis\u00e9 pour fonctionner avec le logiciel et le mat\u00e9riel Oracle. Les sources du noyau, y compris la r\u00e9partition en plusieurs patches, sont disponibles dans le d\u00e9p\u00f4t Git public d'Oracle. Le noyau Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel est install\u00e9 par d\u00e9faut, positionn\u00e9 comme une alternative au package kernel standard RHEL et offre diverses fonctionnalit\u00e9s avanc\u00e9es, telles que l'int\u00e9gration de DTrace et un meilleur support de Btrfs. <\/p>\n
