Apr\u00e8s trois ans depuis la cr\u00e9ation de la derni\u00e8re branche significative, la version 4.2.0 de mdadm est maintenant disponible. Celle-ci comprend un ensemble d'outils pour g\u00e9rer les RAID logiciels sous Linux. Parmi les nouveaut\u00e9s de cette version, on note la possibilit\u00e9 de compilation avec GCC 9 et l'extension du support des tableaux RAID IMSM (Intel Matrix Storage Manager), ainsi que la fonctionnalit\u00e9 de Partial Parity Log (PPL), qui permet de conserver des donn\u00e9es suppl\u00e9mentaires pour r\u00e9duire le risque de corruption des informations (Write Hole) en cas de d\u00e9synchronisation du contenu des disques. La nouvelle version am\u00e9liore \u00e9galement le support des RAID1\/10 en cluster (Cluster MD), permettant de d\u00e9ployer un RAID logiciel pour tous les n\u0153uds du cluster.
