Des d\u00e9tails suppl\u00e9mentaires ont \u00e9merg\u00e9 concernant le projet SUSE Liberty Linux, annonc\u00e9 ce matin par la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 SUSE sans pr\u00e9cisions techniques. Il s'av\u00e8re qu'une nouvelle version du syst\u00e8me d'exploitation Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.5 a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e dans le cadre de ce projet, construite avec la plateforme Open Build Service et adapt\u00e9e pour remplacer l'ancien CentOS 8, dont le support a \u00e9t\u00e9 arr\u00eat\u00e9 fin 2021. Il est pr\u00e9vu que les utilisateurs de CentOS 8 et RHEL 8 puissent migrer leurs syst\u00e8mes vers le distribution SUSE Liberty Linux, qui offre une compatibilit\u00e9 binaire compl\u00e8te avec RHEL et les paquets du d\u00e9p\u00f4t EPEL. <\/p>\n

La nouvelle distribution est int\u00e9ressante parce que le contenu de l'espace utilisateur dans SUSE Liberty Linux est form\u00e9 par la reconstruction des paquets SRPM d'origine issus de RHEL 8.5, mais le paquet du noyau a \u00e9t\u00e9 remplac\u00e9 par une version propre, bas\u00e9e sur la branche du noyau Linux 5.3 et cr\u00e9\u00e9e par la reconstruction du paquet du noyau de la distribution SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 SP3.
