Apr\u00e8s trois ans depuis la derni\u00e8re version, la publication du syst\u00e8me de reconnaissance de texte Ocrad 0.28 (Reconnaissance Optique de Caract\u00e8res), d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e sous l'\u00e9gide du projet GNU, a \u00e9t\u00e9 form\u00e9e. Ocrad peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 \u00e0 la fois sous forme de biblioth\u00e8que pour int\u00e9grer les fonctions OCR dans d'autres applications et sous forme d'utilitaire autonome, qui, sur la base de l'image donn\u00e9e en entr\u00e9e, produit du texte en UTF-8 ou dans des codages 8 bits. <\/p>\n

Pour la reconnaissance optique, Ocrad utilise la m\u00e9thode d'extraction des caract\u00e9ristiques. Cela inclut un analyseur de mise en page permettant de s\u00e9parer correctement les colonnes et les blocs de texte dans les documents imprim\u00e9s. La reconnaissance ne prend en charge que les caract\u00e8res des encodages \u00abascii\u00bb, \u00abiso-8859-9\u00bb et \u00abiso-8859-15\u00bb (la prise en charge du cyrillique n'est pas disponible). <\/p>\n

Il est \u00e0 noter que cette nouvelle version comprend un grand nombre de corrections et d'am\u00e9liorations mineures. Le changement le plus significatif a \u00e9t\u00e9 la prise en charge du format d'image PNG, r\u00e9alis\u00e9e gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la biblioth\u00e8que libpng, ce qui a consid\u00e9rablement simplifi\u00e9 l'utilisation du programme, car auparavant, seules les images au format PNM pouvaient \u00eatre utilis\u00e9es.
