Les d\u00e9veloppeurs du syst\u00e8me d'exploitation ReactOS, visant \u00e0 assurer la compatibilit\u00e9 avec les programmes et pilotes Microsoft Windows, ont annonc\u00e9 la disponibilit\u00e9 d'un ensemble initial de correctifs pour le d\u00e9marrage du projet sur des syst\u00e8mes multiprocesseurs avec le mode SMP activ\u00e9. Les modifications pour supporter le SMP ne sont pas encore incluses dans la base de code principale de ReactOS et n\u00e9cessitent des ajustements, mais le simple fait de pouvoir d\u00e9marrer avec le mode SMP est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme une r\u00e9alisation importante dans le d\u00e9veloppement du projet (jusqu'\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, l'un des principaux limitations de ReactOS \u00e9tait l'utilisation d'un seul c\u0153ur CPU durant son fonctionnement). <\/p>\n

Le travail sur la mise en \u0153uvre du SMP dans ReactOS a eu un impact positif sur la stabilit\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9rale du syst\u00e8me, car il a permis d'identifier et de corriger de nombreuses erreurs associ\u00e9es dans le code li\u00e9 \u00e0 la gestion des verrouillages et au parall\u00e9lisme de l'ex\u00e9cution des processus. Parmi les changements connexes, il est \u00e9galement mentionn\u00e9 la possibilit\u00e9 de d\u00e9marrer le gestionnaire de t\u00e2ches de Windows XP pour afficher la charge sur les processeurs.
