Une distribution browser-linux a \u00e9t\u00e9 propos\u00e9e, destin\u00e9e \u00e0 ex\u00e9cuter un environnement Linux en console dans un navigateur web. Le projet peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 pour une d\u00e9couverte rapide de Linux sans avoir besoin de lancer des machines virtuelles ou de d\u00e9marrer \u00e0 partir d'un support externe. Un environnement Linux r\u00e9duit est form\u00e9 \u00e0 l'aide de l'outil Buildroot. <\/p>\n

Pour ex\u00e9cuter la build obtenue dans le navigateur, un \u00e9mulateur v86 est utilis\u00e9, qui traduit le code machine en WebAssembly. Pour g\u00e9rer le stockage, la biblioth\u00e8que localForage est utilis\u00e9e, travaillant au-dessus de l'API IndexedDB. L'utilisateur a la possibilit\u00e9 de sauvegarder l'\u00e9tat de l'environnement \u00e0 tout moment et de reprendre le travail \u00e0 partir de la position sauvegard\u00e9e.
