Les d\u00e9veloppeurs de la version Rolling Rhino Remix ont annonc\u00e9 la transformation du projet en une distribution distincte, Rhino Linux. Cette cr\u00e9ation est le r\u00e9sultat d'un r\u00e9examen des objectifs et du mod\u00e8le de d\u00e9veloppement du projet, qui a d\u00e9j\u00e0 d\u00e9pass\u00e9 l'\u00e9tat de d\u00e9veloppement amateur et commence \u00e0 d\u00e9passer la simple recompilation d'Ubuntu. La nouvelle distribution continuera de s'appuyer sur Ubuntu, mais inclura des utilitaires suppl\u00e9mentaires et sera d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e par une \u00e9quipe de plusieurs d\u00e9veloppeurs (deux autres participants ont rejoint le projet). <\/p>\n

Une version l\u00e9g\u00e8rement retravaill\u00e9e de Xfce sera propos\u00e9e comme bureau. Le gestionnaire de paquets Pacstall sera inclus dans la version principale, se positionnant comme un \u00e9quivalent du d\u00e9p\u00f4t AUR (Arch User Repository) pour Ubuntu, permettant aux d\u00e9veloppeurs tiers de distribuer leurs paquets sans les inclure dans les d\u00e9p\u00f4ts principaux de la distribution. Via le d\u00e9p\u00f4t mis en \u0153uvre gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 Pacstall, des composants du bureau Xfce, le noyau Linux, des \u00e9crans de d\u00e9marrage et le navigateur Firefox seront distribu\u00e9s. Les mises \u00e0 jour continueront de s'appuyer sur les branches de d\u00e9veloppement des d\u00e9p\u00f4ts, o\u00f9 se font la compilation de paquets avec de nouvelles versions d'applications (synchronis\u00e9es avec Debian Sid\/Unstable) pour des versions exp\u00e9rimentales d'Ubuntu.
