Une vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 CVE-2022-40284 a \u00e9t\u00e9 identifi\u00e9e dans l'outil ntfs-3g du package NTFS-3G, qui offre une impl\u00e9mentation de syst\u00e8me de fichiers NTFS fonctionnelle en espace utilisateur, permettant potentiellement l'ex\u00e9cution de code avec des privil\u00e8ges root lors du montage d'une partition sp\u00e9cialement con\u00e7ue. Cette vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 corrig\u00e9e dans la version NTFS-3G 2022.10.3. <\/p>\n

La vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 est caus\u00e9e par une erreur dans le code d'analyse des m\u00e9tadonn\u00e9es dans les partitions NTFS, conduisant \u00e0 un d\u00e9bordement de tampon lors du traitement d'images pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment format\u00e9es avec le syst\u00e8me de fichiers NTFS. Une attaque peut \u00eatre r\u00e9alis\u00e9e lors du montage par l'utilisateur d'une image ou d'un support pr\u00e9par\u00e9 par l'attaquant, ou lors de la connexion d'une cl\u00e9 USB \u00e0 l'ordinateur avec une partition sp\u00e9cialement con\u00e7ue (si le syst\u00e8me est configur\u00e9 pour monter automatiquement les partitions NTFS \u00e0 l'aide de NTFS-3G).
