Le projet d\u00e9veloppe une build pr\u00eate du projet coreboot, offrant une alternative aux firmwares propri\u00e9taires UEFI et BIOS, responsables de l'initialisation du CPU, de la m\u00e9moire, des p\u00e9riph\u00e9riques et d'autres composants mat\u00e9riels, tout en minimisant les insertions binaires.    <\/p>\n<p>Libreboot vise \u00e0 cr\u00e9er un environnement syst\u00e8me permettant de se passer de logiciels propri\u00e9taires autant que possible, non seulement au niveau du syst\u00e8me d'exploitation, mais aussi du firmware assurant le d\u00e9marrage.
