Les versions 8.x continuent d'\u00eatre maintenues parall\u00e8lement \u00e0 la branche 9.x et visent \u00e0 cr\u00e9er une compilation libre de RHEL, capable de remplacer le classique CentOS 8, dont le support a \u00e9t\u00e9 interrompu fin 2021, et non en 2029, comme initialement pr\u00e9vu. Les compilations Rocky Linux 8.9 sont pr\u00e9par\u00e9es pour les architectures x86-64 et aarch64, tandis qu'AlmaLinux 8.9 est destin\u00e9 aux architectures x86_64, ARM64, s390x et ppc64le. <\/p>\n
Les distributions sont binaires compatibles avec Red Hat Enterprise Linux et peuvent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9es comme alternative \u00e0 RHEL 8.9 et CentOS 8 Stream.
