Le langage de programmation Hare, pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 comme un langage de programmation syst\u00e8me proche du langage C mais plus simple, a int\u00e9gr\u00e9 le support du syst\u00e8me d'exploitation OpenBSD. OpenBSD est devenue la premi\u00e8re nouvelle plateforme ajout\u00e9e \u00e0 Hare depuis la publication du projet en avril 2022 (Hare ne supportait initialement que Linux et FreeBSD). Le compilateur Hare a \u00e9t\u00e9 port\u00e9 pour OpenBSD il y a environ un an, mais la biblioth\u00e8que standard n'avait jusqu'\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent pas de support pour cette plateforme. <\/p>\n

Le principal d\u00e9veloppeur du langage Hare et l'initiateur du projet est Drew DeVault, cr\u00e9ateur de l'environnement utilisateur Sway, du client de messagerie Aerc, de la plateforme de d\u00e9veloppement collaboratif SourceHut et du micro-noyau Helios. Hare utilise une gestion manuelle de la m\u00e9moire et un syst\u00e8me de types statiques, o\u00f9 chaque variable doit explicitement se voir attribuer un type d\u00e9fini. Le langage est optimis\u00e9 pour r\u00e9soudre des t\u00e2ches de bas niveau, comme le d\u00e9veloppement de syst\u00e8mes d'exploitation, de compilateurs, d'applications r\u00e9seau et d'outils syst\u00e8me, o\u00f9 la performance maximale et un contr\u00f4le total de l'ex\u00e9cution sont requis. Un runtime minimal est attach\u00e9 \u00e0 l'ex\u00e9cution de l'application, et une biblioth\u00e8que standard de fonctions est fournie pour le d\u00e9veloppement, offrant un acc\u00e8s aux interfaces de base du syst\u00e8me d'exploitation ainsi que des fonctions pour travailler avec des algorithmes types, des protocoles et des formats. Parmi les derni\u00e8res d\u00e9veloppements sur Hare, on peut noter l'outil hare-wayland pour le d\u00e9veloppement d'applications utilisant Wayland.
