Une vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 identifi\u00e9e dans le sous-syst\u00e8me Netfilter (CVE-2023-6817), permettant potentiellement \u00e0 un utilisateur local d'\u00e9lever ses privil\u00e8ges dans le syst\u00e8me. Ce probl\u00e8me est caus\u00e9 par un acc\u00e8s \u00e0 la m\u00e9moire apr\u00e8s sa lib\u00e9ration (use-after-free) dans le module nf_tables, qui g\u00e8re le filtrage des paquets nftables. La vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 se manifeste \u00e0 partir de la version 5.6 du noyau Linux. Un correctif pour cette vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 propos\u00e9 dans la version test du noyau Linux 6.7-rc5 et a \u00e9t\u00e9 int\u00e9gr\u00e9 dans les branches stables actuelles 5.10.204, 5.15.143, 6.1.68 et 6.6.7. <\/p>\n
Le probl\u00e8me est caus\u00e9 par une erreur dans la fonction nft_pipapo_walk, qui ne v\u00e9rifiait pas la pr\u00e9sence de doublons lors de l'it\u00e9ration sur les \u00e9l\u00e9ments PIPAPO (Pile Packet Policies), conduisant \u00e0 une double lib\u00e9ration de m\u00e9moire. Pour mener l'attaque, un acc\u00e8s \u00e0 nftables est n\u00e9cessaire, ce qui peut \u00eatre obtenu avec des droits CAP_NET_ADMIN dans n'importe quel espace de noms d'identificateurs d'utilisateurs (user namespace) ou espace de noms r\u00e9seau (network namespace), qui peuvent \u00eatre fournis, par exemple, dans des conteneurs isol\u00e9s.
