L'alliance des principaux acteurs de l'IT, comprenant Oracle, Apple, Nvidia et Microsoft, a publi\u00e9 le texte d'une licence non libre, cr\u00e9\u00e9e sur la base de la GPL v3. L'objectif de cette initiative est de r\u00e9duire les co\u00fbts op\u00e9rationnels des grands producteurs de logiciels, d'\u00e9tablir un espace de licence unifi\u00e9 et de simplifier le contrat d'adh\u00e9sion pour les utilisateurs finaux.<\/p>\n

Le premier logiciel licenc\u00e9 selon les nouvelles conditions est le code source de Berkley UNIX, auparavant d\u00e9tenu par SCO Unix, ce qui a mis fin \u00e0 une longue bataille juridique concernant sa propri\u00e9t\u00e9.<\/p>\n
