Petit \u00e0 petit, il y a quelques jours, la version 9.4 du projet Rocky Linux a \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9e \u2014 une distribution organis\u00e9e par Gregory Kurzer en r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 l'arr\u00eat des versions classiques de CentOS et \u00e0 la transition vers CentOS Stream. Gregory Kurzer, en tant que d\u00e9veloppeur de CentOS, a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de tout recommencer et a lanc\u00e9 le projet Rocky Linux, qui devait reprendre tout ce que faisait auparavant CentOS, mais d\u00e9sormais s\u00e9par\u00e9ment de Red Hat.<\/p>\n

\u00c9tant donn\u00e9 que le projet doit \u00eatre compatible avec RHEL au niveau \u0153il pour \u0153il, bogue pour bogue (tout en d\u00e9-brandinant et en supprimant les liens avec Red Hat), tout ce que l'on peut dire \u00e0 propos de RHEL 9.4 ou de CentOS Stream 9 est valable ici : il est disponible pour quatre architectures (x86_64, aarch64, ppc64le, s390x), avec \u00e0 la fois des images d'installation et des options pour les plateformes cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), une image Docker et, bien s\u00fbr, des options Live (\u00e0 choisir : avec GNOME, XFCE, MATE, Cinnamon et KDE \u2014 la derni\u00e8re option est pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e dans la capture d'\u00e9cran). La base de Rocky est le d\u00e9p\u00f4t OpenELA, car Red Hat ne publie plus les versions sources de ses paquets sur ses ressources en acc\u00e8s public. Aucun m\u00e9canisme pour une mise \u00e0 niveau fluide depuis les versions 8.x n'est pr\u00e9vu \u2014 ceux qui souhaitent mettre \u00e0 jour une version pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente sont conseill\u00e9s d'installer 9.4 depuis z\u00e9ro.<\/p>\n
