La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Microsoft a annonc\u00e9 le d\u00e9veloppement d'un configurateur graphique pour WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux), une couche permettant d'ex\u00e9cuter des applications Linux sous Windows. Le configurateur simplifiera la configuration de WSL selon les besoins et permettra de g\u00e9rer et de visualiser divers param\u00e8tres de WSL sans n\u00e9cessiter la modification manuelle du fichier '.wslconfig'. <\/p>\n

Le principal probl\u00e8me concernant '.wslconfig' est la difficult\u00e9 de comprendre quels param\u00e8tres sont disponibles et quelles valeurs peuvent y \u00eatre attribu\u00e9es. Le configurateur graphique pr\u00e9sente tous les param\u00e8tres possibles, regroup\u00e9s par cat\u00e9gories et dot\u00e9s d'un indicateur de validit\u00e9 pour chaque param\u00e8tre dans le syst\u00e8me actuel. La possibilit\u00e9 de configuration via le fichier '.wslconfig' sera \u00e9galement maintenue, permettant \u00e0 l'utilisateur d'utiliser simultan\u00e9ment \u00e0 la fois l'interface graphique et le fichier texte de configuration.

Parmi les autres changements dans WSL, il est mentionn\u00e9 que certaines configurations pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment consid\u00e9r\u00e9es comme exp\u00e9rimentales sont maintenant activ\u00e9es par d\u00e9faut. En particulier, les param\u00e8tres 'autoMemoryReclaim=dropCache' pour le retour automatique de la m\u00e9moire lib\u00e9r\u00e9e vers Windows et 'dnsTunneling=true' pour le tunneling DNS dans Windows 11 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 activ\u00e9s. <\/p>\n

Un plug-in pour WSL a \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9 \u00e0 Microsoft Defender, permettant d'utiliser Microsoft Defender for Endpoint pour la surveillance des environnements WSL. De plus, une int\u00e9gration dans WSL d'un agent permettant de g\u00e9rer les param\u00e8tres via Intune a \u00e9t\u00e9 assur\u00e9e. \u00c0 l'avenir, la possibilit\u00e9 d'utiliser le configurateur Dev Home pour g\u00e9rer et lancer les environnements WSL sera \u00e9galement ajout\u00e9e.
