Les param\u00e8tres de GNOME ont \u00e9t\u00e9 modifi\u00e9s pour utiliser par d\u00e9faut la police Inter, optimis\u00e9e pour une haute clart\u00e9 des caract\u00e8res de petite et moyenne taille (moins de 12px) lorsqu'elle est affich\u00e9e sur des \u00e9crans d'ordinateur. Il est possible que ce changement soit annul\u00e9 avant la sortie de l'automne de GNOME 47 si son test est jug\u00e9 insatisfaisant par les utilisateurs.<\/p>\n

En mode par d\u00e9faut, la police Inter pr\u00e9sente certains probl\u00e8mes, notamment une repr\u00e9sentation identique de la lettre majuscule \u00ab I \u00bb et de la lettre minuscule \u00ab l \u00bb, ainsi que de la lettre \u00ab O \u00bb et du chiffre \u00ab 0 \u00bb. Ce probl\u00e8me se r\u00e9sout en activant le mode optionnel \u00ab ss02 \u00bb dans la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 font-feature-settings.<\/p>\n

Pour tester la nouvelle police, il est n\u00e9cessaire de t\u00e9l\u00e9charger et de d\u00e9compresser l'archive zip contenant la police Inter, d'installer la police en double-cliquant sur les fichiers InterVariable.ttf et InterVariable-Italic.ttf dans l'application GNOME Fonts, puis de l'activer comme police d'interface dans l'application GNOME Tweaks ou via l'utilitaire gsettings (\u00ab gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface font-name 'Inter Variable 11' \u00bb).<\/p>\n
