Troy Hunt, cr\u00e9ateur du service de v\u00e9rification des mots de passe compromis \u00ab Have I Been Pwned \u00bb (haveibeenpwned.com), a re\u00e7u des informations concernant une fuite de la base d'utilisateurs de l'organisation Internet Archive (archive.org), qui accompagne l'archive de l'\u00e9tat des sites et la plus grande biblioth\u00e8que de contenu num\u00e9ris\u00e9. Les attaquants ont transmis \u00e0 Troy un dump SQL, incluant les comptes de 31 millions d'utilisateurs de archive.org. De plus, une injection de code JavaScript a \u00e9t\u00e9 signal\u00e9e sur le site archive.org, d\u00e9clenchant une fen\u00eatre pop-up avec des informations sur le piratage.

L'avertissement concernant la fuite a \u00e9t\u00e9 transmis \u00e0 l'administration d'archive.org, mais aucune d\u00e9claration officielle ni explication n'ont encore \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9es (sur Twitter, il n'y a pour l'instant que des retweets). Le dump SQL de la base de donn\u00e9es du service en possession des chercheurs p\u00e8se plus de 6 Go et inclut entre autres des hachages de mots de passe utilisateurs au format bcrypt, la date de modification du mot de passe, les emails et les noms d'utilisateur. L'enregistrement le plus r\u00e9cent de la base de donn\u00e9es date du 28 septembre. <\/p>\n

La pertinence de la base de donn\u00e9es a \u00e9t\u00e9 confirm\u00e9e par le chercheur en s\u00e9curit\u00e9 connu Scott Helme, dont le hachage de mot de passe et la date de modification dans le dump SQL compromis correspondaient \u00e0 ceux de son gestionnaire de mots de passe. La compromission de ses comptes peut \u00eatre v\u00e9rifi\u00e9e via le service haveibeenpwned.com, dans lequel les informations de la base de donn\u00e9es compromise d'archive.org ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9es. De mani\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, la v\u00e9rification sur haveibeenpwned.com couvre 14 milliards de mots de passe et inclut des informations sur les piratages de 817 sites.
