Andreas Huettel, membre de l'\u00e9quipe en charge des publications de Gentoo Linux, a annonc\u00e9 le d\u00e9but de la cr\u00e9ation d'images disques exp\u00e9rimentales Gentoo au format QCOW2, permettant d'obtenir un environnement syst\u00e8me compl\u00e8tement fonctionnel, pr\u00eat \u00e0 \u00eatre charg\u00e9 dans des machines virtuelles. Les images devraient \u00eatre mises \u00e0 jour chaque semaine, ce qui permettra de les utiliser pour \u00e9valuer l'\u00e9tat actuel de la distribution. Auparavant, le projet ne diffusait que des images d'installation et une version Live \u00e0 charger depuis des dispositifs USB. <\/p>\n

Deux options d'image avec un environnement console sont disponibles pour le t\u00e9l\u00e9chargement \u2014 compl\u00e8te (1,2 Go) et r\u00e9duite sans multilib (233 Mo). Par d\u00e9faut, les services r\u00e9seau, tels que sshd, ne sont pas lanc\u00e9s dans les images, et le mot de passe root est d\u00e9fini sur une valeur vide. \u00c0 l'avenir, nous pr\u00e9voyons de cr\u00e9er une version de la compilation pour les environnements cloud avec configuration via \u00ab cloud-init \u00bb.
