Le responsable du comit\u00e9 technique de la Linux Foundation (Technical Advisory Board) a annonc\u00e9 une limitation de la participation de Kent Overstreet, l'auteur de BcacheFS, au d\u00e9veloppement du noyau par l'interdiction de l'acceptation de pull requests pendant le cycle de formation de la version 6.13. Cette d\u00e9cision a \u00e9t\u00e9 prise sur la base de la recommandation du comit\u00e9 charg\u00e9 de faire respecter le code de conduite au sein de la communaut\u00e9 des d\u00e9veloppeurs du noyau Linux (CoC Committee). Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 confirm\u00e9 que la raison de la suspension \u00e9tait une insulte faite \u00e0 Michal Hoftom sans confirmation ult\u00e9rieure de la capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 participer \u00e0 des discussions techniques sans attaques personnelles. <\/p>\n

En r\u00e9ponse, Kent Overstreet a publi\u00e9 une copie d'une lettre personnelle adress\u00e9e \u00e0 Michal Hoftom, envoy\u00e9e en septembre, deux jours apr\u00e8s le message offensant. Dans la lettre, Kent s'est excus\u00e9 aupr\u00e8s de Michal et a expliqu\u00e9 les motivations internes qui l'ont pouss\u00e9 \u00e0 perdre son sang-froid (la volont\u00e9 de faire fonctionner les choses et une r\u00e9action douloureuse \u00e0 l'ignorance des probl\u00e8mes entra\u00eenant un fonctionnement incorrect).
