La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Checkpoint a annonc\u00e9 la d\u00e9couverte du logiciel malveillant GodLoader, \u00e9crit en GDScript et utilisant le moteur de jeu open source Godot pour son ex\u00e9cution (le moteur Godot est utilis\u00e9 comme plateforme de lancement). \u00c9crire du code en GDScript a permis de distribuer des programmes malveillants parmi les amateurs de jeux vid\u00e9o sous le pr\u00e9texte de mods de jeux et de ressources de jeux au format pck, trait\u00e9es par le moteur Godot. L'utilisation de GDScript a \u00e9galement permis de ne pas d\u00e9pendre du syst\u00e8me d'exploitation install\u00e9 sur l'utilisateur (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android et iOS). <\/p>\n

\u00c9tant donn\u00e9 que l'ex\u00e9cution des programmes en GDScript n\u00e9cessite la pr\u00e9sence du moteur Godot, la cible principale de l'attaque \u00e9taient les utilisateurs de jeux sur ce moteur. Les premi\u00e8res versions du nouveau logiciel malveillant datent du 29 juin. Plus de 17 000 syst\u00e8mes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 touch\u00e9s par GodLoader. En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, les victimes de l'attaque t\u00e9l\u00e9chargeaient des archives pck non v\u00e9rifi\u00e9es avec GodLoader int\u00e9gr\u00e9 \u00e0 partir de ressources tiers et de d\u00e9p\u00f4ts frauduleux sur GitHub. Apr\u00e8s l'ex\u00e9cution du script GDScript contenu dans l'archive, GodLoader t\u00e9l\u00e9chargeait et lan\u00e7ait des composants malveillants suppl\u00e9mentaires, r\u00e9alisant des actions telles que le minage de cryptomonnaie et l'envoi des mots de passe et des cl\u00e9s d'acc\u00e8s enregistr\u00e9es du syst\u00e8me de l'utilisateur.
