VeraCrypt est remarquable pour avoir remplac\u00e9 l'algorithme RIPEMD-160 utilis\u00e9 dans TrueCrypt par SHA-512 et SHA-256, pour avoir augment\u00e9 le nombre d'it\u00e9rations de hachage, pour avoir simplifi\u00e9 le processus de construction pour Linux et macOS, et pour avoir corrig\u00e9 les probl\u00e8mes identifi\u00e9s lors de l'audit du code source de TrueCrypt. Le code d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 par VeraCrypt est distribu\u00e9 sous la licence Apache 2.0, tandis que les emprunts \u00e0 TrueCrypt continuent d'\u00eatre fournis sous la licence TrueCrypt License 3.0. Des versions pr\u00eates sont disponibles pour Linux, FreeBSD, Windows et macOS.      <\/p>\n<p>Parmi les changements dans la nouvelle version :  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Sur les syst\u00e8mes x86, des instructions CPU sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9es pour le calcul des hachages SHA-256 sont utilis\u00e9es pour acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer l'algorithme PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256.\n<li class=\"l\"> Le support d'instructions avanc\u00e9es pour l'acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration mat\u00e9rielle du cryptage AES a \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9 pour les plateformes ARM64.\n<li class=\"l\"> La logique de d\u00e9tection des sessions cr\u00e9\u00e9es avec l'outil sudo a \u00e9t\u00e9 simplifi\u00e9e.\n<li class=\"l\"> Les probl\u00e8mes de compilation avec la biblioth\u00e8que wxWidgets fournie dans Ubuntu ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9solus.\n<li class=\"l\"> Une v\u00e9rification de l'existence des partitions avant le montage a \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9e.\n<li class=\"l\"> Dans les versions pour macOS, la capture d'\u00e9cran est d\u00e9sactiv\u00e9e par d\u00e9faut (une option \u00ab\u00a0--allow-screencapture\u00a0\u00bb a \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9e pour l'activer).\n<li class=\"l\"> Le support des syst\u00e8mes Windows 32 bits a \u00e9t\u00e9 abandonn\u00e9. La version minimale support\u00e9e est maintenant Windows 10 update 1809 (octobre 2018). Sur les syst\u00e8mes Windows, le g\u00e9n\u00e9rateur de nombres al\u00e9atoires BCryptGenRandom est utilis\u00e9 (au lieu de l'obsol\u00e8te CryptGenRandom) et une API moderne est adopt\u00e9e pour l'accumulation d'entropie.\n<li class=\"l\"> Une vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 CVE-2024-54187, caus\u00e9e par l'utilisation de chemins relatifs lors de l'ex\u00e9cution de fichiers ex\u00e9cutables syst\u00e8me, a \u00e9t\u00e9 corrig\u00e9e.
