Pour les syst\u00e8mes serveurs (Ubuntu Server), le nouveau noyau est ajout\u00e9 en tant qu'option dans l'installateur. Il est logique d'utiliser les nouvelles versions uniquement pour les nouvelles installations \u2014 les syst\u00e8mes install\u00e9s auparavant peuvent recevoir tous les changements pr\u00e9sents dans Ubuntu 24.04.2 via le syst\u00e8me de mise \u00e0 jour standard.        <\/p>\n<p>Rappelons que pour la livraison de nouvelles versions du noyau et de la pile graphique, un mod\u00e8le de support de mise \u00e0 jour en continu est appliqu\u00e9, selon lequel les noyaux et pilotes r\u00e9troport\u00e9s ne seront pris en charge que jusqu'\u00e0 la sortie de la prochaine mise \u00e0 jour corrective de la branche LTS d'Ubuntu. Ainsi, le noyau Linux 6.11 propos\u00e9 dans la version actuelle sera pris en charge jusqu'\u00e0 la sortie d'Ubuntu 24.04.3, qui proposera le noyau issu d'Ubuntu 24.04. Le noyau de base 6.8 sera pris en charge tout au long de son cycle de cinq ans.          <\/p>\n<p>Pour revenir \u00e0 Ubuntu Desktop avec le noyau de base 6.8, il faut ex\u00e9cuter la commande :
