Apr\u00e8s deux ans et demi de d\u00e9veloppement, la version du syst\u00e8me d'exploitation Linux ind\u00e9pendant et l\u00e9ger CRUX 3.7 a \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9e. D\u00e9velopp\u00e9 depuis 2001 selon le principe KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid), il est destin\u00e9 aux utilisateurs exp\u00e9riment\u00e9s. L'objectif du projet est de cr\u00e9er une distribution simple et transparente pour les utilisateurs, fond\u00e9e sur des scripts d'initialisation semblables \u00e0 ceux de BSD, avec une structure simplifi\u00e9e et un nombre relativement limit\u00e9 de paquets binaires pr\u00eats \u00e0 l'emploi. CRUX supporte un syst\u00e8me de ports permettant d'installer et de mettre \u00e0 jour des applications \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re de FreeBSD\/Gentoo. La taille de l'image ISO pr\u00e9par\u00e9e pour l'architecture x86-64 est de 1,7 Go. <\/p>\n

Dans cette nouvelle version, les versions des composants syst\u00e8me ont \u00e9t\u00e9 mises \u00e0 jour, y compris le noyau Linux 6.12, glibc 2.40, gcc 14.2.0, binutils 2.43.1, sysvinit 3.14. De nouveaux paquets tels que nvme-cli, rdfind, libbsd, libcap-ng, libxcrypt ont \u00e9t\u00e9 int\u00e9gr\u00e9s. Par d\u00e9faut, un environnement bas\u00e9 sur le serveur X (xorg-server 21.1.16, Mesa 25.0) est toujours fourni, mais la possibilit\u00e9 d'utiliser le protocole Wayland a \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9e en option.
