D\u00e9monstration de la possibilit\u00e9 de cr\u00e9er un exploit fonctionnel pour la vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 CVE-2025-21756, caus\u00e9e par une erreur dans le noyau Linux, entra\u00eenant un acc\u00e8s \u00e0 la m\u00e9moire apr\u00e8s sa lib\u00e9ration. Le probl\u00e8me concerne l'impl\u00e9mentation des sockets avec l'adressage AF_VSOCK, destin\u00e9s \u00e0 l'interaction r\u00e9seau entre les applications des syst\u00e8mes invit\u00e9s et leurs h\u00f4tes. L'exploit publi\u00e9 permet d'ex\u00e9cuter du code avec des droits root sur les syst\u00e8mes utilisant le noyau Linux 6.6.75 (pour d'autres versions, des modifications de l'exploit sont n\u00e9cessaires). <\/p>\n

Le probl\u00e8me a \u00e9t\u00e9 corrig\u00e9 dans le noyau Linux 6.14 et dans les mises \u00e0 jour de f\u00e9vrier et mars des branches stables, telles que 6.12.16, 6.6.79 et 6.1.131. La vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 corrig\u00e9e dans les paquets de noyau pour RHEL, SUSE\/openSUSE et Ubuntu et Debian 12, mais reste non corrig\u00e9e dans Debian 11. <\/p>\n

La vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 est li\u00e9e au fait que lors de la r\u00e9attribution du transport pour le socket AF_VSOCK, la fonction vsock_remove_sock est appel\u00e9e, laquelle appelle \u00e0 son tour la fonction vsock_remove_bound, qui r\u00e9duit incorrectement le compteur de r\u00e9f\u00e9rences pour l'objet vsock. Ainsi, le compteur de r\u00e9f\u00e9rences devient nul et le noyau lib\u00e8re la m\u00e9moire allou\u00e9e pour l'objet, malgr\u00e9 le fait qu'il soit encore utilis\u00e9.
