La version 1.0 de l'ensemble d'outils mmc-utils a \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9e, con\u00e7ue pour la configuration de bas niveau des cartes m\u00e9moire MMC, eMMC et SD depuis l'espace utilisateur. Cette sortie marque le premier lancement officiel (le projet est en d\u00e9veloppement depuis 2012). Le code est \u00e9crit en C et distribu\u00e9 sous la licence GPLv2. <\/p>\n

Les utilitaires peuvent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s pour lire les registres CSD (param\u00e8tres de la carte), CID (identifiant de la carte) et SCR (configuration de la carte), activer la protection en \u00e9criture (temporaire ou permanente, ainsi que concernant seulement certaines r\u00e9gions de l'appareil), configurer l'authentification et g\u00e9rer des fonctionnalit\u00e9s sp\u00e9cifiques \u00e0 l'eMMC, telles que la taille de secteur, BKOPS, gestion du cache et r\u00e9initialisation mat\u00e9rielle. <\/p>\n

Pour utiliser mmc-utils, un syst\u00e8me avec un v\u00e9ritable h\u00f4te mmchci est n\u00e9cessaire. Les appareils tels que les lecteurs de cartes USB, qui offrent un acc\u00e8s aux cartes de stockage sous la forme de \u00ab stockage de masse USB \u00bb, ne conviennent pas \u00e0 l'utilisation de ces utilitaires, car ils ne permettent pas d'envoyer des commandes MMC \u00e0 l'appareil.
