La possibilit\u00e9 propos\u00e9e permet de d\u00e9sactiver instantan\u00e9ment l'acc\u00e8s \u00e0 certaines fonctionnalit\u00e9s du noyau en cours d'ex\u00e9cution. Le killswitch devrait \u00eatre utile pour bloquer temporairement des vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9s jusqu'\u00e0 ce qu'une mise \u00e0 jour du noyau avec un correctif soit install\u00e9e. <\/p>\n

La gestion du killswitch se fait via le fichier \u00ab \/sys\/kernel\/security\/killswitch\/control \u00bb, qui permet de configurer l'interception des appels aux fonctions du noyau par leurs noms. Par exemple, pour bloquer la vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 Copy Fail, il suffit d'\u00e9crire dans le fichier de contr\u00f4le la commande \u00ab engage af_alg_sendmsg -1 \u00bb pour activer l'interception de l'appel de la fonction af_alg_sendmsg et retourner, au lieu de son ex\u00e9cution, le code d'erreur \u00ab -1 \u00bb. <\/p>\n
