Le consortium GlobalPlatform a annonc\u00e9 le projet Pavona, qui d\u00e9veloppe une distribution ouverte de composants mat\u00e9riels permettant de composer des puces s\u00e9curis\u00e9es pr\u00eates \u00e0 la production bas\u00e9es sur des noyaux d'architecture RISC-V. Cette distribution propose une biblioth\u00e8que modulaire de blocs IP et des impl\u00e9mentations de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence de puces, pr\u00eates \u00e0 \u00eatre certifi\u00e9es et test\u00e9es pour leur ad\u00e9quation \u00e0 la production (tapeout-proven). En combinant des \u00e9l\u00e9ments de cette biblioth\u00e8que, il est possible de cr\u00e9er ses propres puces pour diverses applications, des centres de donn\u00e9es, des acc\u00e9l\u00e9reurs AI et des contr\u00f4leurs sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s aux syst\u00e8mes embarqu\u00e9s \u00e0 ressources limit\u00e9es et aux dispositifs de l'Internet des objets (IoT). Les r\u00e9sultats du projet sont diffus\u00e9s sous la licence Apache 2.0.<\/p>\n
Parmi les fondateurs du projet, on trouve 12 entreprises et organisations, dont Qualcomm Technologies, Meta, Analog Devices, Baochip, SIMPLE Crypto Association, Tenstorrent, Winbond et ZeroRISC. Le projet se d\u00e9veloppe sur une plateforme neutre, ind\u00e9pendante de fabricants sp\u00e9cifiques, et est g\u00e9r\u00e9 par des participants de la communaut\u00e9 qui s'est form\u00e9e autour de lui.<\/p>\n
Pavona fournit des blocs IP avec des noyaux RISC-V (Ibex RV32IMCB et VexII), des acc\u00e9l\u00e9reurs cryptographiques prenant en charge des algorithmes cryptographiques classiques et post-quantiques, des contr\u00f4leurs OTP\/flash, SRAM, JTAG, ADC, I2C, GPIO et SPI. Parmi les algorithmes cryptographiques mis en \u0153uvre au niveau mat\u00e9riel, on trouve : HMAC, KMAC, AES, EDN, ASCON, ML-KEM, ML-DSA, DSA-SHA2 et SLH-DSA-SHAKE. Une documentation compl\u00e8te et des ressources pour la v\u00e9rification avant production (Design Verification collateral) ainsi que du code RTL sont fournis. En plus des composants mat\u00e9riels, le projet propose \u00e9galement des logiciels, tels qu'une biblioth\u00e8que cryptographique pour l'int\u00e9gration avec des acc\u00e9l\u00e9reurs cryptographiques, des firmwares et des utilitaires associ\u00e9s.<\/p>\n
Sur la base de Pavona, deux impl\u00e9mentations de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9par\u00e9es : une puce distincte avec des capacit\u00e9s cryptographiques int\u00e9gr\u00e9es pour fonctionner en tant que \u00ab Root of Trust \u00bb et une impl\u00e9mentation \u00ab Root of Trust \u00bb pour l'architecture de chiplets, test\u00e9e en production utilisant le proc\u00e9d\u00e9 TSMC 3nm (N3). Les chiplets permettent de cr\u00e9er des circuits int\u00e9gr\u00e9s hybrides combin\u00e9s (modules multi-puces), constitu\u00e9s de blocs semi-conducteurs ind\u00e9pendants.
