Pour r\u00e9soudre les probl\u00e8mes de verrouillage sur les syst\u00e8mes multic\u0153urs, jemalloc utilise une zone d'allocation de m\u00e9moire isol\u00e9e pour chaque c\u0153ur de CPU, permettant ainsi d'atteindre une \u00e9volutivit\u00e9 lin\u00e9aire \u00e0 mesure que le nombre de threads augmente.     <\/p>\n<p>En juin 2025, l'auteur du projet a arr\u00eat\u00e9 la maintenance et a d\u00e9plac\u00e9 le d\u00e9p\u00f4t jemalloc en mode archivage, mais en mars de cette ann\u00e9e, le d\u00e9veloppement a \u00e9t\u00e9 repris par l'entreprise Meta, qui utilise jemalloc dans son infrastructure. \u00c0 l'origine, la biblioth\u00e8que a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e pour FreeBSD et est utilis\u00e9e par d\u00e9faut dans ce syst\u00e8me d'exploitation depuis 2005. Le code de la biblioth\u00e8que est \u00e9crit en C et est distribu\u00e9 sous la licence BSD.      <\/p>\n<p>Parmi les changements :  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> La logique de remplissage et de r\u00e9initialisation du tcache (Thread Local Cache) a \u00e9t\u00e9 simplifi\u00e9e, ainsi que la gestion de l'allocation de m\u00e9moire.\n<li class=\"l\"> Les allocateurs de pages m\u00e9moire PAC (Page Allocator Classic) et HPA (Huge Page Allocator) ont \u00e9t\u00e9 unifi\u00e9s. Le m\u00e9canisme complexe des appels indirects \u00e0 travers vtable (PAI vtable) a \u00e9t\u00e9 supprim\u00e9.\n<li class=\"l\"> Pour simplifier la maintenance et l'extension des plateformes, toutes les op\u00e9rations d\u00e9pendantes de la plateforme ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9plac\u00e9es vers des fichiers d'en-t\u00eate s\u00e9par\u00e9s.\n<li class=\"l\">  La gestion des commandes mallctl a \u00e9t\u00e9 simplifi\u00e9e, de m\u00eame que l'infrastructure de g\u00e9n\u00e9ration et de sortie des statistiques.\n<li class=\"l\">  Un drapeau EXTENT_ALLOC_FLAG_PINNED a \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9 pour marquer les zones de mappage de m\u00e9moire non \u00e9vinc\u00e9es, telles que les pages HugeTLB, pour leur r\u00e9utilisation prioritaire. De nouvelles interfaces mallctl ont \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9es pour obtenir des statistiques sur l'utilisation de la m\u00e9moire fix\u00e9e : stats.pinned, stats.arenas.&lt;i&gt;.pinned,
