Il y a exactement 50 ans \u2014 le 7 avril 1969 \u2014 a \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9 le Request for Comments : 1. Un RFC est un document contenant des sp\u00e9cifications techniques et des normes largement utilis\u00e9es sur le r\u00e9seau mondial. Chaque document RFC a son propre num\u00e9ro unique, qui est utilis\u00e9 pour y faire r\u00e9f\u00e9rence. Actuellement, la publication initiale des documents RFC est g\u00e9r\u00e9e par l'IETF sous l'\u00e9gide de l'organisation ouverte Internet Society (ISOC). C'est cette derni\u00e8re qui d\u00e9tient les droits sur les RFC.<\/p>\n

Le document RFC-1 a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9crit par Steve Crocker (sur la photo). \u00c0 l'\u00e9poque, il \u00e9tait \u00e9tudiant dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 au Caltech. C'est lui qui a eu l'id\u00e9e de publier des documents techniques au format RFC. Il a \u00e9galement particip\u00e9 \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation du «Network Working Group» de l'ARPA, qui a ensuite conduit \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation de l'IETF. Depuis 2002, il a travaill\u00e9 \u00e0 l'ICANN, et de 2011 \u00e0 2017, il a dirig\u00e9 cette organisation.<\/p>\n
