Pr\u00e9sent\u00e9<\/a><\/noindex> lancement du projet KWin-lowlatency 5.15.5<\/a><\/noindex>, dans lequel une version du gestionnaire de compositions pour KDE Plasma 5.15 a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9par\u00e9e, compl\u00e9t\u00e9e par des correctifs pour am\u00e9liorer la r\u00e9activit\u00e9 de l'interface et r\u00e9soudre certains probl\u00e8mes de r\u00e9activit\u00e9 aux actions de l'utilisateur, tels que le ralentissement de la saisie. D\u00e9veloppements du projet sont distribu\u00e9s<\/a><\/noindex> sous licence GPLv2.
\nPour Arch Linux, un PKGBUILD pr\u00eat \u00e0 l'emploi est disponible dans l'AUR. Une option pour compiler KWin avec des correctifs lowlatency est en pr\u00e9paration pour Gentoo.<\/p>\n

Cette nouvelle version se distingue par la prise en charge des syst\u00e8mes avec des cartes graphiques NVIDIA. Le code DRM VBlank a \u00e9t\u00e9 remplac\u00e9 par l'utilisation de glXWaitVideoSync pour offrir une protection contre les d\u00e9chirures \u00e0 l'affichage sans impact n\u00e9gatif sur la r\u00e9activit\u00e9. La protection contre les d\u00e9chirures pr\u00e9sente initialement dans KWin est mise en \u0153uvre \u00e0 l'aide d'un minuteur et peut entra\u00eener des d\u00e9lais importants (jusqu'\u00e0 50 ms) d'affichage, ce qui peut retarder la r\u00e9ponse lors de la saisie.<\/p>\n

Des param\u00e8tres suppl\u00e9mentaires ont \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9s (Param\u00e8tres syst\u00e8me > Affichage et Moniteur > Compositeur), permettant d'atteindre un \u00e9quilibre optimal entre r\u00e9activit\u00e9 et fonctionnalit\u00e9. Par d\u00e9faut, le support des animations lin\u00e9aires est d\u00e9sactiv\u00e9 (il peut \u00eatre r\u00e9activ\u00e9 dans les param\u00e8tres). Un mode de d\u00e9sactivation des redirections de sortie plein \u00e9cran via le tampon de transit a \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9 (unredirected fullscreen<\/a><\/noindex>), permettant d'am\u00e9liorer les performances des applications en plein \u00e9cran.<\/p>\n
