D\u00e9veloppeur de l'outil de surveillance syst\u00e8me en d\u00e9veloppement depuis 2004 dstat<\/a><\/noindex>, qui offrait un remplacement universel et plus fonctionnel aux outils vmstat, iostat, mpstat, netstat et ifstat, a annonc\u00e9<\/a><\/noindex> sur l'arr\u00eat du projet en raison de conflit de noms provoqu\u00e9 par les actions de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Red Hat. La motivation a disparu apr\u00e8s que Red Hat a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de remplacer dstat<\/a><\/noindex> par un nouvel outil de d\u00e9veloppement propre (du jeu Performance Co-Pilot<\/a><\/noindex>), propos\u00e9 par<\/a><\/noindex> le m\u00eame nom. <\/p>\n

L'auteur de dstat ne voit plus de sens \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper le projet et n'a pas l'intention de lutter contre une multinationale, prouvant l'absence d'\u00e9thique dans la cr\u00e9ation de produits concurrents sous le m\u00eame nom. Tous les messages concernant des probl\u00e8mes et des erreurs dans le dstat original doivent d\u00e9sormais \u00eatre adress\u00e9s \u00e0 Red Hat.
