Apr\u00e8s un an de d\u00e9veloppement pr\u00e9par\u00e9<\/a><\/noindex> Publication d'une distribution Linux l\u00e9g\u00e8re et ind\u00e9pendante CRUX 3.5<\/a><\/noindex>, d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e depuis 2001 selon le concept KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) et destin\u00e9e<\/a><\/noindex> aux utilisateurs exp\u00e9riment\u00e9s. L'objectif du projet est de cr\u00e9er une distribution simple et transparente pour les utilisateurs, bas\u00e9e sur des scripts d'initialisation similaires \u00e0 BSD, ayant une structure maximis\u00e9e et contenant un nombre relativement restreint de paquets binaires pr\u00eats \u00e0 l'emploi. CRUX prend en charge un syst\u00e8me de ports permettant d'installer et de mettre \u00e0 jour facilement des applications dans le style de FreeBSD\/Gentoo. La taille de l'iso<\/a><\/noindex>, pr\u00e9par\u00e9e pour l'architecture x86-64, est de 644 Mo.<\/p>\n

Dans cette nouvelle version, le paquet Linux-PAM est inclus dans le cadre principal et le m\u00e9canisme PAM (Pluggable Authentication Modules) est utilis\u00e9 pour organiser l'authentification dans le syst\u00e8me. L'utilisation de PAM permet aux utilisateurs de mettre en \u0153uvre des fonctionnalit\u00e9s telles que l'authentification \u00e0 deux facteurs pour se connecter au syst\u00e8me. Le transfert de divers composants d'autotools vers de nouveaux syst\u00e8mes de construction a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9. Les configurations de D-Bus ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9plac\u00e9es de \/usr\/etc vers le r\u00e9pertoire \/etc (une modification des fichiers de configuration peut \u00eatre n\u00e9cessaire).
