Mir peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 comme serveur composite pour Wayland, permettant d'ex\u00e9cuter dans des environnements bas\u00e9s sur Mir toutes les applications utilisant Wayland (par exemple, celles construite avec GTK3\/4, Qt5 ou SDL2). Des packages d'installation ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9par\u00e9s pour Ubuntu 16.04\/18.04\/18.10\/19.04 (<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~mir-team\/+archive\/ubuntu\/release\">PPA<\/a><\/noindex>Deep Speech <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/copr.fedorainfracloud.org\/coprs\/ngompa\/mir-prerel-fedora\/\">Fedora 29\/30<\/a><\/noindex>. Code du projet <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/MirServer\/mir\">est distribu\u00e9<\/a><\/noindex> sous licence GPLv2.<\/p>\n<p>Dans cette nouvelle version, le support de l'extension du protocole pour les applications Wayland dans les environnements bas\u00e9s sur Mir a \u00e9t\u00e9 am\u00e9lior\u00e9. <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/swaywm\/wlr-protocols\/blob\/master\/unstable\/wlr-layer-shell-unstable-v1.xml\">wlr-layer-shell<\/a><\/noindex> (Layer Shell), propos\u00e9 par les d\u00e9veloppeurs de l'environnement de bureau Sway, et utilis\u00e9 lors du portage de l'environnement de bureau MATE sur Wayland. Les utilitaires mirrun et mirbacklight ont \u00e9t\u00e9 supprim\u00e9s de la distribution. Dans la couche MirAL (Mir Abstraction Layer), qui permet de s'abstraire des appels directs au serveur Mir et d'acc\u00e9der \u00e0 l'ABI via la biblioth\u00e8que libmiral, le support des zones exclusives a \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9, limitant le placement des fen\u00eatres \u00e0 une zone sp\u00e9cifique de l'\u00e9cran.<\/p>\n<p>Le premier pas a \u00e9t\u00e9 fait pour se d\u00e9barrasser de l'API mirclient sp\u00e9cifique, qui est rest\u00e9e en \u00e9tat gel\u00e9 pendant un long moment, et il est d\u00e9sormais recommand\u00e9 d'utiliser le protocole Wayland. Dans la nouvelle version, l'API mirclient est d\u00e9sactiv\u00e9e par d\u00e9faut, mais une option de construction \u00ab --enable-mirclient \u00bb a \u00e9t\u00e9 laiss\u00e9e pour le r\u00e9tablir, tandis qu'une variable d'environnement MIR_SERVER_ENABLE_MIRCLIENT et un param\u00e8tre de fichier de configuration enable-mirclient ont \u00e9t\u00e9 propos\u00e9s pour une activation s\u00e9lective.
