Chez Mozilla ont termin\u00e9<\/a><\/noindex> la phase de test du support de DNS sur HTTPS (DNS over HTTPS, DoH) et pr\u00e9voient de lancer la fonctionnalit\u00e9 aux \u00c9tats-Unis d'ici la fin du mois. Apr\u00e8s un lancement complet, la possibilit\u00e9 de d\u00e9ployer le protocole sera \u00e9galement envisag\u00e9e pour d'autres pays.<\/p>\n

Cette technologie permet de chiffrer le trafic DNS, bien qu'il soit possible de d\u00e9sactiver la fonction dans le navigateur et d'utiliser des requ\u00eates DNS classiques. Les utilisateurs de syst\u00e8mes de filtrage parental et de r\u00e9seaux d'entreprise pourraient probablement opter pour cette derni\u00e8re, car ils disposent de m\u00e9canismes de v\u00e9rification pour d\u00e9sactiver automatiquement DoH.<\/p>\n

Une telle technologie peut \u00eatre utile pour se prot\u00e9ger contre les fuites de donn\u00e9es via les serveurs DNS des fournisseurs. Elle peut \u00e9galement \u00eatre utilis\u00e9e contre les attaques MITM, la substitution du trafic DNS, le contournement des blocages au niveau complets<\/a> et ainsi de suite. En effet, la norme actuelle DNSSEC utilise le chiffrement uniquement pour l'authentification du client et du serveur, mais elle ne prot\u00e8ge pas contre l'interception ou la substitution des donn\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

L'activation de DoH dans about:config se fait via la variable network.trr.mode, apparue dans Firefox 60. Avec la valeur 0, DoH est compl\u00e8tement d\u00e9sactiv\u00e9. La valeur 1 permet de choisir automatiquement entre DNS ou DoH en fonction de ce qui fonctionne le mieux. Avec la valeur 2, DoH est utilis\u00e9 par d\u00e9faut, et DNS comme option de secours. Avec la valeur 3, seul DNS over HTTPS est activ\u00e9. Enfin, si vous d\u00e9finissez le param\u00e8tre \u00e0 4, le mode de mise en miroir est activ\u00e9, o\u00f9 DoH et DNS fonctionnent en parall\u00e8le. Dans ce cas, le serveur DNS de CloudFlare est utilis\u00e9, bien qu'il puisse \u00eatre modifi\u00e9.<\/p>\n
