Par d\u00e9faut, GhostBSD utilise le syst\u00e8me d'initialisation OpenRC et le syst\u00e8me de fichiers ZFS. Il prend en charge \u00e0 la fois le mode Live et l'installation sur un disque dur (utilisant l'installateur ginstall, \u00e9crit en Python).
