VeraCrypt se distingue par le remplacement de l'algorithme RIPEMD-160 utilis\u00e9 dans TrueCrypt par SHA-512 et SHA-256, l'augmentation du nombre d'it\u00e9rations de hachage, la simplification du processus de compilation pour Linux et macOS, \u00e9liminant <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/veracrypt.codeplex.com\/discussions\/569777#PostContent_1313325\">des probl\u00e8mes<\/a><\/noindex>, identifi\u00e9es lors de <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=39573\">l'audit<\/a><\/noindex> des codes sources de TrueCrypt. En outre, VeraCrypt offre un mode de compatibilit\u00e9 avec les partitions TrueCrypt et comprend des outils pour convertir les partitions TrueCrypt au format VeraCrypt. Pour garantir la compatibilit\u00e9 avec les anciens syst\u00e8mes, une option a \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9e pour limiter la taille maximale des mots de passe \u00e0 64 caract\u00e8res ;\n<li class=\"l\"> En alternative, \u00e0 l'instruction CPU RDRAND, le support de la biblioth\u00e8que <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.chronox.de\/jent.html\">Jitterentropy<\/a><\/noindex>, qui utilise le jitter pour la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration mat\u00e9rielle de nombres pseudo-al\u00e9atoires, bas\u00e9 sur les fluctuations du temps d'ex\u00e9cution de certains ensembles d'instructions sur le CPU (CPU execution time jitter), qui d\u00e9pend de nombreux facteurs internes et est impr\u00e9visible sans un contr\u00f4le physique sur le CPU ;\n<li class=\"l\"> Une optimisation des performances du mode XTS sur les syst\u00e8mes 64 bits avec support des instructions SSE2 a \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9e. Les optimisations ont en moyenne permis d'am\u00e9liorer les performances de 10 % ;\n<li class=\"l\"> Ajout de code pour d\u00e9terminer si le CPU prend en charge les instructions RDRAND\/RDSEED et les processeurs Hygon. R\u00e9solution des probl\u00e8mes de d\u00e9tection du support AVX2\/BMI2 ;\n<li class=\"l\"> Pour Linux en CLI, l'option &#171;&#8212;import-token-keyfiles&#187; a \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9e, compatible avec le mode non interactif;\n<li class=\"l\"> Pour Linux et macOS, une v\u00e9rification de l'espace libre dans le syst\u00e8me de fichiers pour le stockage du conteneur de fichiers cr\u00e9\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9e. Un drapeau &#171;&#8212;no-size-check&#187; est pr\u00e9vu pour d\u00e9sactiver cette v\u00e9rification;\n<li class=\"l\"> Pour Windows, un mode de stockage des cl\u00e9s et des mots de passe en m\u00e9moire a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis en \u0153uvre, utilisant le chiffre ChaCha12, le hachage t1ha et un CSPRNG bas\u00e9 sur ChaCha20. Par d\u00e9faut, ce mode est d\u00e9sactiv\u00e9, car il entra\u00eene une augmentation des frais g\u00e9n\u00e9raux d'environ 10 % et emp\u00eache la mise en veille de la syst\u00e8me. Un nettoyage des cl\u00e9s avant la fermeture, avant le red\u00e9marrage ou (en option) lors de la connexion d'un nouvel appareil a \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9.
